- Species B has canine teeth in their mouth to deal with tougher meat, and also has a slicker, leather-like shell. These adaptations allow them to be more active hunters, and they're competitiveness has made them survive, unlike Species A. Natural selection favored this organism because it is more competitive and adaptable. When new prey arose, this species changed its ways to adapt. When they needed to chase these elusive creatures, they developed a new leathery shell, which allowed them to be faster.
