Part Three
- Species A has the same mouth as the mother species. This mouth and digestive system allow for digestion of the soft jellyfish. Also, the shell is not as efficient. Although it offers more protection, it is not as aero-dynamic as Species B. Although natural selection favored this species while the water temperatures weer colder and jellyfish were one of the few food sources, it ultimately failed to adapt to the changing surroundings. It couldn't compete with Species B because they were better equipped to hunt for food, leaving very little for Species A.
